Two Strangers Kissing
Site specific video installation. Glasgow, Scotland, 2006.
It is the in between spaces, the way that constructed urban spaces leave cracks for possibilities. In this video, two strangers were asked to meet on this bench and kiss for the shooting. The looped video was then projected during several nights on the window next to that same bus stop.
Public spaces have been broken down into those dominated by populare culture (streets), by mass culture (malls), by high culture (museums), by corporate culture (offices buildings), and by official culture (government structures ). - Lucy Lippard
